Mechanics of Pack 538

Scouting is a volunteer/parent led organization that leverages the skills and support of the parents of our scouts. The pack is guided by a pack committee, run by a committee chair, and composed of den leaders, cubmaster, treasurer, and other chairman positions (fundraising, camping, community service, advancements, and website chairs). There is great passion and commitment that helps to make our program a strong program. As scouts continue to crossover to Boy Scouts, there is always an influx of new energy, talent, and ideas that keeps the program fresh. We are always looking for more leaders and volunteers to continue to improve our program and service the needs of our scouts – we would love to have you!

Our vehicles of communication are monthly pack meetings and email blasts, and den meetings. If there are ever any questions, please feel free to contact any of the leaders.

The consistency of the program is due to high quality structure and resources. These are provided by the several overarching organizations such as: the Boy Scouts of America, the Northern Star Council, and the Northern Lights District (which our pack is a part of). Our chartering organization is the Hamel Lions.

Funding for our pack and for the total scouting organization comes from two main sources:

First: Annual wreath fundraiser (in the fall)

Second: Camping fees and the annual Friends of Scouting fundraising campaign
